With only 2 full days in Beijing, my friend and I were looking for a tour guide to show us all of the major sites quickly. Our guide, Nancy, was knowledgeable and fun. She helped guide us through all of the major sites in China including the Forbidden City, Tienanmen Square, Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, and the Great Wall. She brought us to real restaurants that were not just touristy spots and gave us suggestions about what we can do with our evenings/dinners that allowed us to explore more of the city and go to the best Peking Duck in the city. Nancy was really informative but did not overload us with too much information, which was perfect for my friend and I who wanted a broader introduction to Chinese culture.
It was impressive that the Discover Beijing tour group returned part of our money back when they could not take us on a rickshaw ride that was not happening due to construction. I was very pleasantly surprised when they refunded our money instead of substituting something random. Nancy brought us to a bit of shopping as we had requested to go shopping but did not force any sites down our throats.
All of the drivers were very professional and Nancy was an excellent tour guide. Overall, it was an excellent trip to China that started off with an amazing few days in Beijing, with a lovely blue sky before we flew home.
