The Confucius Family Mansion (Kong Fu) stands east of the Temple of Confucius, serving as the residence for Confucius’s descendants, including his first son and first grandson. As the ancestral home of the Kong family, the mansion holds immense historical and cultural significance, comparable in scope to the royal palaces of the Ming and Qing dynasties.

This family mansion is recognized as the largest of its kind in Chinese history, reflecting the enduring legacy and influence of the Kong lineage. In 1994, the Mansion, along with the Cemetery and the Temple, were collectively designated as World Cultural Heritage sites, highlighting their universal importance and value.
