Laoshan Mountain, also referred to as Mount Lao or Laoshan National Forest Park, is located on the shores of the Yellow Sea, in the eastern part of Qingdao city. It spans a total area of 446 km². Rising from the sea, Laoshan is connected to the ocean and extends in four directions from its center – Jufeng, the highest peak. Towards the west, there are low and flat ranges that stretch into the distance, while the eastern side boasts high, steep peaks with deep valleys and cascading waterfalls. The coastline meanders around the mountain, adorned with a variety of rocks, islets, and staggered bays.

Renowned as a prominent Taoist mountain, Laoshan offers breathtaking peaks and stunning coastal scenery. Its Taoist temples, mesmerizing sunrises, and ethereal sea of clouds have garnered a longstanding reputation. It has also earned prestigious titles such as the “No. 1 coastal mountain” and the “captivating and blessed place,” solidifying its status as a renowned tourist destination and a popular choice for holidaymakers.
