I was in Beijing on business and had only one day for fun. I chose to visit Cuandixia, China’s oldest village with preserved courtyard homes dating to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Not only was the trip well worth the 2+ hour drive outside Beijing into the Jingxi mountains to the village, but my tour guide, Dandan was an absolute delight. This bright young lady from Mongolia was well spoken and her stories of growing up in the grasslands in a Yurt were equally as intriguing as her knowledge of the village. I was alone on this trip and a little nervous because it was my first time to China. Dandan made me feel at ease and I now feel like she’s a friend. I highly recommend Discover Beijing Tours. Very reliable! Be sure to ask for Dandan. Here’s a pic of her in the village.

Hello Discover Beijing Tours
Our trip to China was wonderful! The Discover Beijing Tours guides were all very knowledgeable and fun to be with (especially our guide, Dandan, in Beijing! She was the best at keeping us crazy Americans in line). If you can believe it, we had blue skies almost the entire trip – very little smog! We learned so much and saw so many wonderful places…I lived it for eight days and still cannot believe we did so much! .So many items crossed off my bucket list in one wonderful trip… Discover Beijing Tours – thank you so much for all your help with everything! hugs!

I had a private Beijing tour on 3/1/14 – this included the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, and Tiananmen Square. Kelly was the guide, and her breadth and depth of knowledge was tremendous. She and the driver reliably met me at the airport, were flexible throughout the day (we stopped to also see the Olympics facilities), and got me back to the airport right on time. We had a fantastic lunch and a great time seeing the sites. I would definitely recommend this tour.

What a fantastic trip we had and it was all thanks to our amazing tour guide Kelly, our fantastic driver Wang and the ever patient Qing from the background. We had a short 3 day stay in Beijing but Qing made sure that we saw all the important sites in that short period of time.
We had Kelly as our amazing tour guide, she was just brilliant, her level of English, the indepth knowledge of the places we visited and quirky little stories of history she told was just a delight. She was very patient with our endless stops for photoshots and was most helpful in finding us clean toilets.
Our plane coming into Beijing was delayed so had to ring Qing and she was very helpful and understanding and told us that Wang would be waiting for us at the airport. On the way back from the Great Wall hike we got stuck in a traffic jam and were on the roads for 3.5 hours, Wang was totally unfazed by all of this and just kept the mood up in the car. Wang was also wonderful in ordering lunches, I have never ever eaten such delicious Chinese foods…
In short we had an amazing holiday thanks to these guys. Would recommend them to everyone going over to Beijing.

Just back from tour of the Great Wall with Kelly. Knowledgable guide…not sure how she remembers all the history but her information was fascinating. The driver, Wang, was a great help in ordering lunch and it was excellent. He is also a very good driver..never felt nervous in Bejing traffic! Highly recommend this company, well worth the money.

As per other comments the team are fantastic. Kelly was our guide for 2 days and we were able to see and learn so much more than would have been possible in such a short time any other way. Very friendly and professional from picking us up at the airport to departure and highly recommend. We also enjoyed the acrobatic show that was organised for us.

We had a great time with our guide Kelly, she was amazing with our kids! We booked a guide for 6 days and were able to see and do everything we wanted as well as have a wonderful cooking class in a traditional hutong home. We take from our experience here so much knowledge and history as well as a great friend. Kelly’s ability to speak perfect English and her relaxed manner made navigating this busy city so much easier than I could of ever imagined. My husband and I highly recommend this tour company.

Thanks to our tour guide, fantastic Kelly, we had a wonderful 3 days in Beijing. In a short time we were able to see all the important sites. Kelly never rushed us. She was always very patient with our endless stops. Also, our driver Wang, always ordered the most delicious food for us. I thank the whole team and highly recommend theirs tours!

We spent two amazing days with Kelly. Besides knowing absolutely everything about the sights and places we went, we also had some great conversations about the differences between our two countries. The time we spent in the car was used to learn a bit of chinese and thus became interesting as well. On day two she was the perfect companion for me, when my husband had to work, and most of the time it felt more like exploring a City with a friend (who knew everything about the City!) than a guide – amazing! We can do nothing but recommend this!

Long story short: if you are thinking about a tour in Beijing book it with Discovery Beijing tours! By the end of the experience you’ll feel whatever you paid was an absolute bargain.
I was traveling alone in China for business and decided to explore Beijing at the end of my trip. Based on the Trip Advisor reviews I reached out to Discovery Beijing Tours to explore the possibility of a two day tour and Qing was very responsive to my inquiries at all hours of the day. I was sent a personalized itinerary, detailed overview of what was included in the cost and advice for my time in Beijing. Needless to say I was very excited!
Joe was my driver during my stay and he was great, picking me up from the train station when I arrived from Shanghai and was a master at navigating the packed Beijing streets as we drove between tour sites. My tour guide during the two days, Kelly, was a pleasure to be around. She was personable, knowledgeable and very friendly! Her English skills left nothing to be desired and I felt like we had become friends by the end of the two days, showing each other pictures of our friends and family during our downtime in the car. We visited so many amazing spots, highlighted by the Great Wall, Forbidden City and Summer Palace. The acrobatic show that capped off the trip was impressive as well.
I will be recommending Discover Beijing Tours to my friends and family if they are ever looking to visit Beijing and hope to go back to tour more with them myself!

We spent two days touring with Kelly and highly recommend her! My husband had previously visited Beijing and toured with a different company whom he said could not even come close in comparison to Kelly’s job. Her English is excellent, and she made each stop come alive with vibrant stories and educational facts. We feel like we truly understand the history behind this wonderful culture thanks to Kelly. I am so glad that we didn’t try to tour on our own! The fee is very reasonable as it includes everything from tickets to transportation and lunch. And, the lunches were fabulous at non-touristy restaurants. Kelly will guide you competently and enthusiastically through each stop. The driver was also very professional, punctual, and the car was very clean.
