Morning: Jiaozi Snow Mountain Overview
Jiaozi Snow Mountain gets its name from its shape, which perfectly resembles a traditional bridal sedan chair (“jiaozi” in Chinese), and it is famed for its “seven wonders”: strange peaks, clear waters, ice and snow, rhododendrons, sea of clouds, sunrise, and Buddha light.
Midday: Mountain Exploration via Shuttle Bus & Cable Car
Upon arrival, take the scenic shuttle bus and convenient cable car up the mountain to start your adventure.
First, wander past a series of cascading waterfalls, then head to Daheiqing—a prime viewing spot. Here, you can feast your eyes on the stunning Xiaojiang Valley below, admire the rugged pine trees, blooming wildflowers, and jagged mountain peaks, and soak in the panoramic vistas of the entire area. Spend 2–4 hours exploring at your own pace, taking photos and breathing in the crisp mountain air.
Midday: Cable Car Descent & Local Lunch
When you’re ready, take the cable car back down the mountain. Then, enjoy a hearty lunch at a nearby local restaurant, savoring authentic Yunnan mountain flavors to refuel after your exploration.
Afternoon: Transfer Back to Kunming
