1. Chengdu → Beijing (Flight)
Your private driver will pick you up from your Chengdu city hotel lobby and transfer you to the airport. Board a morning flight to Beijing (approx. 3 hours). Upon arrival, your guide will greet you with a name sign at the arrival hall exit, then head directly to Tian’anmen Square. After lunch, start your city exploration.
2. Tian’anmen Square
Spot History: The world’s largest public square, home to landmarks like the National Museum of China and Monument to the People’s Heroes, bearing witness to China’s modern history.
Tour Experience: Stroll through the square with your guide, who will share the historical stories and significance behind each landmark. Capture photos of this iconic public space.
3. Forbidden City (The Palace Museum)
Spot History: A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, this 500-year-old imperial complex served as the residence of Ming and Qing emperors, spanning 250 acres of palaces and gardens.

Day 2: Great Wall Adventure & Modern Icons
1. Mutianyu Great Wall
Spot History: A 600-year-old highlight of the Great Wall, rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty on ancient foundations and renowned as the “essence of the Great Wall”.
Tour Experience: Meet your driver and guide at 8:30 AM at your hotel lobby for the 1.5-hour drive to Mutianyu. Less crowded and more rugged than Badaling, this section is surrounded by 96% forest and orchards. Hike between watchtowers, and choose between a round-trip cable car or thrilling toboggan ride for easy access.
2. Olympic Park
After lunch at a local restaurant, drive past Beijing Olympic Park (venue of the 2008 Olympics and Paralympics) and stop for photos. Admire the iconic Bird’s Nest (capacity: 91,000 spectators) and Water Cube stadiums.
3. Bell and Drum Towers
Spot History: A historic timekeeping complex with a history spanning centuries, once used to announce the time for Beijing’s residents in ancient times.
Tour Experience: Visit Beijing’s historic Bell and Drum Towers. Climb up to watch the traditional drum-beating performance, then wander the nearby hutongs to experience authentic local life. Afterward, return to your hotel.
Day 3: Sacred Temples & Royal Gardens
1. Temple of Heaven
Spot History: A sacred site built for Ming and Qing emperors to hold annual prayer ceremonies for good harvests, blending ancient Chinese architecture and philosophy.
Tour Experience: Meet your driver and guide at 8:30 AM at your hotel lobby. Explore the temple grounds, watch local retirees enjoying their daily activities (e.g., tai chi, singing), and learn about the temple’s historical and cultural significance from your guide.
2. Silk Street & Pearl Market (Xiushui)
Enjoy free time to shop at Silk Street or Pearl Market for souvenirs. Your guide will offer haggling advice to help you secure great bargains.
3. Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)
Spot History: A UNESCO-listed masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design, first built in 1750, destroyed in 1860, and restored in 1886, harmonizing natural scenery with man-made structures.
Tour Experience: After lunch, head to this imperial garden. Wander along the lakeside, cross elegant bridges, and explore palaces and pavilions. Your guide will share detailed stories about its history and design philosophy. After the tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel. For the return trip to Chengdu, select the relevant option when booking.
