    Join your guide for an in-depth tour of Harbin’s downtown area—you’ll get to see highlights like the dazzling Ice Lantern Show and intricate snow sculptures (note: entrance fees are extra).

    Suggested 2-Day Harbin Winter Itinerary

    Day 1: Sun Island Snow Festival & Harbin Ice and Snow World

    Your private English-speaking tour guide will pick you up from your centrally located Harbin hotel at 9:00 a.m. in the early morning. Then, you’ll head to the Sun Island Snow Festival, where you’ll see numerous snow buildings and snow artworks.
    The Sun Island Snow Festival is one of Harbin’s key winter events. After visiting the festival, you can explore other nearby attractions you’re interested in—just talk to your guide, and they’ll take you there.
    In the evening, you’ll go to Harbin Ice and Snow World to enjoy the nighttime Ice Festival. Once the full day’s tour ends, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
    Note: “Ice Festival” is a general term for Harbin’s ice and snow events. Among them, Harbin Ice and Snow World is the largest, followed by the Sun Island Snow Festival.

    Day 2: Cultural Sights & Zhaolin Park Ice Lantern Show

    Meet your guide again in your hotel lobby at 9:00 a.m. First, visit St. Sophia Church—this building is praised as a masterpiece of art and was once the largest Orthodox church in the Far East.
    Next, head to Jiuzhan Park to watch the ice swimming show. After the show, take the Harbin Ropeway across the beautiful Songhua River; from the ropeway, you’ll get a bird’s-eye view of the city and the Russian Town.
    Continue your journey to Zhongyang Pedestrian Street, then walk to the Harbin Flood Control Memorial Tower. After that, keep strolling along the banks of the Songhua River before stopping at Sidalin Park. Here, you can spend some time observing the daily life of local elderly residents. You’ll have lunch at the park (cost at your own expense).
    In the afternoon, first visit the Longta Tower, then go to Laodaowai (Old Harbin Street). Finally, before being transferred back to your hotel, you’ll visit the Harbin Ice Lantern Show at Zhaolin Park (open annually in early January).
