    Departure & Scenic Drive Along Karakoram Highway

    You’ll be picked up as arranged (see departure details). Around 9:00 AM, your guide will meet you in your hotel lobby. Then you’ll set off on an unforgettable drive along the legendary Karakoram Highway. Your first stop is Karakul Lake, the natural gem of the Kashgar region.

    Karakul Lake: Plateau Paradise on the Silk Road

    Along the highway, diverse scenery unfolds before your eyes. You’ll pass idyllic Uyghur villages, nomadic Kyrghiz yurts, and the sweeping, majestic landscapes of the Pamir Plateau. Karakul Lake is a rare plateau lake worldwide and a key stop on the ancient Silk Road, witnessing centuries of trade caravans passing by. It is surrounded by glaciers and snow-capped peaks, including Kongur Mountain, Kongur Jiubie Peak, and Muztagh Ata. These towering mountains lend magical beauty to the lake.     Day 2: Tashkurgan Stone Fortress → Return to Kashgar
