Upon arriving in Lanzhou – the capital of Gansu Province – you’ll be greeted by your guide and smoothly transferred to your downtown hotel for check-in and a moment to settle in. If your arrival time allows in the afternoon, you’ll take a leisurely stroll along the scenic Yellow River waterfront, with a 30-minute stop at Lanzhou Shuiche Park. This iconic park celebrates Lanzhou’s “Waterwheel Capital” heritage, where ancient wooden waterwheels stand alongside the river, offering a peaceful introduction to the city’s natural and cultural charm.

Day 2: Lanzhou → Linxia

Start your day with a 2-hour visit to Gansu Provincial Museum, home to world-famous relics like the “Galloping Horse Treading on a Flying Swallow” (China’s tourism symbol) and the well-preserved Yellow River Elephant fossil.

Then, take a 2.5–3-hour private drive to Linxia. Along the way, stop at Bingling Temple Grottoes for a 2-hour tour (admission included) – a UNESCO-listed Silk Road site with 1,600 years of history. Day 5: Departure from Xining
