How to get to Beijing Zoo

Beijing Zoo Main Entrance (South Gate / Ticket Office)

By subway:  (Fastest & Most Reliable)

Line: Take Subway Line 4 towards Anheqiao North to Beijing Zoo Station.

Exit: Take Exit A (Northwest) or Exit C2, walk about 50 meters to the South Gate (Main Entrance).

Travel Time: Around 20–40 minutes from downtown, no traffic jams.

By Bus: (Great for Sightseeing)

Stop: Beijing Zoo Stop (Xizhimenwai Street).

Main Bus Routes:27, 87, 105, 107, 111, 332, 347, 360, 362, 534, 604, 632, 651, Te 4, Yuntong 104, etc.

Final Walk: Walk 3–5 minutes to the South Gate.

How to buy tickets to the Beijing zoo?

1. Highly recommended to use a ticket agency to help with the booking, which saves time and avoids troubles.

2.Tickets can be purchased 1–6 days in advance or on the day of your visit (subject to availability). You can also buy tickets at the park’s comprehensive service window on-site.

3.After successful booking, enter the zoo by swiping your ID card or showing the electronic ticket QR code.


Do I need to book a ticket to Beijing Zoo in advance?

It is strongly recommended to book tickets online in advance, especially during peak seasons (April–October) and holidays. Tickets are available for booking 6 days before the travel date, and you should book as early as possible to secure entry.


Can I buy a ticket on the spot upon arrival?

Yes, you can purchase tickets at the park’s comprehensive service window on the day of your visit, provided there are remaining tickets. However, online booking in advance is more recommended to avoid waiting in line.


Is there any place in Bbeijing Zoo to deposit  luggage?

There are luggage storage services near the South Gate (Main Entrance) and around the Zoo Station (Subway Line 4).
