2.Tickets are required to book in advance; on-site ticket sales are very limited or unavailable.

Do I need to book a ticket to Longmen Grottoes in advance?

Yes, you must book online in advance.Tickets are available 1–6 days before the visit date.
Please book as early as possible, especially during weekends, peak seasons and holidays.

Can I buy a ticket on the spot upon arrival?

Same-day on-site tickets are generally NOT available.

Longmen Grottoes mainly sells pre-booked tickets via official platforms.

There are almost no walk-up tickets for sale at the entrance.

Is there any place in Longmen Grottoes to deposit  luggage?

Yes. Longmen Grottoes provides free luggage storage at both the Northeast Service Area Visitor Center and Northwest Service Area Visitor Center.

Location: Northeast & Northwest Service Area Visitor Centers

Hours: 8:00 AM – 7:30 PM (daily)

Details: Free for all luggage sizes; collect before closing.

2.24‑Hour Self‑Service Lockers

Northwest Service Area: Near McDonald’s (Longmen Ancient Street)

Northeast Service Area: Outside the Ticket Center

Policy: First 6 hours free; ¥2 per hour thereafter.

3.Paid Commercial Storage (Nearby)

Shops, guesthouses, and service points around the scenic area offer paid luggage deposit (¥5–15 per item, depending on size).

Important Notes：The scenic area does not provide free storage inside the main cave zones.

  • Do not store valuables (laptops, etc.).
  • Pets are not allowed inside the scenic area.
