Admire the magnificent imperial mausoleum architecture and exquisite stone carvings of the Ming Tombs (the sacred Spirit Way and grand Dingling Mausoleum are highlights not to be missed).

1.Children aged 6 or under, or 1.2 meters or below in height are free of charge.

2.Foreign nationals aged 60 or above with a Chinese Permanent Residence Permit are free of charge.

3.Foreign minors aged 6–18 (with passport) enjoy half-price tickets.

4.Foreign students under 25 years old with full-time undergraduate studies or below (with passport + valid student ID) enjoy half-price tickets.

How to get to Ming Tombs

Ming Tombs Main Entrance (Ticket Inspection)

By Subway + Bus (Recommended):

1.Take Subway Line Changping to Shisanling Scenic Area Station, Exit B.

2.Walk to Jiantoucun West and transfer to Bus Chang 78 to Nanxincun Station (Main Entrance).

By Direct Bus:

1.From Deshengmen: Take Bus 872 directly to Nanxincun Station (Main Entrance).

2.From Deshengmen West: Take Bus 345 Express to Xihuan South Road, then transfer to Bus 872, 878, or Chang 67.

Please present the ID document used for booking the Ming Tombs tickets for admission at the ticket office to collect your paper ticket for entry.

By Taxi:

Ask the driver to take you to the Main Entrance (Dahongmen) of the Ming Tombs.

How to buy tickets to the Ming Tombs ?

1.Highly recommended to book via the official “Changping Culture and Tourism Group” mini-program or a trusted ticket agency for efficiency and to avoid issues.

2.Advance booking is mandatory for all visitors. On-site ticket sales are available only for eligible discount/free ticket holders (e.g., seniors, students, special professions) and are subject to availability.

Do I need to book a ticket to Ming Tombs in advance?

Yes, you must book online in advance. Tickets are released 5 days in advance (for regular tickets) and can be booked 1–6 days before your visit date.
Please book as early as possible, especially during weekends, peak seasons (April 1–October 31), and legal holidays, as slots fill up quickly.

Can I buy a ticket on the spot upon arrival?

Same-day walk-up tickets for regular visitors are NOT available.

1.The Ming Tombs primarily sell pre-booked tickets via official online platforms.

2.On-site windows are only for discount/free ticket verification and paper ticket issuance (e.g., foreign visitors, seniors, students, special professions).

3.Foreign and Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan visitors must register with valid passports/Travel Permits at the ticket office to exchange for paper tickets.

4.Please make a reservation before your visit to avoid being denied entry.

Is there any place in Ming Tombs to deposit luggage?

Yes. The Ming Tombs provide official luggage storage at the Scenic Area Visitor Center.

Location: Ming Tombs Scenic Area Visitor Center (main service hub).
Hours: Aligns with park opening hours (08:30–17:00 off-season; 08:00–17:30 peak season); retrieve all items on the same day.
Details: Free for all luggage sizes; present your valid ticket and ID/passport to use the service.

2. Paid Commercial Storage (Nearby)

Shops and service points near the Main Entrance (Dahongmen) offer paid luggage deposit (¥5–15 per item, depending on size).

Important Notes

No free storage is available inside the individual tomb zones (e.g., Dingling, Changling).
Do not store valuables (laptops, cameras, cash, etc.).
Pets are not allowed inside the scenic area.
