1.Seniors aged 60 and above, and minors under 18 (including Chinese citizens, residents of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and foreigners with permanent residence permits) are eligible for free admission.

2.Full-time undergraduate students and below (excluding adult education and correspondence students) may enjoy half-price tickets with valid student ID card plus passport or national ID card.

1.The tickets are released 3 days in advance; we will book the tickets for you as soon as they are available.
2.Your valid Passport/ID information is required for booking, and one person can only book one ticket per day.

How to Book and Use

Please present your QR code to verify the booking and enter at the South Gate of Confucius Temple (Xianshi Gate).

Closed every Monday (except during public holidays)

Ticket inspection:

Ticket inspection and entry close at 16:30 for the entire day.

Please ensure you arrive at the Confucius Temple at your reserved timeslot to guarantee your ticket is inspected and ensure a pleasant tour.

How to get to Confucius Temple Beijing

Tourists can only enter from the South Gate of Confucius Temple (Xianshi Gate).

By subway (Fastest & Most Stable): 

Line: Subway Line 2 / Line 5 to Yonghegong Station

Exit: Exit F / G (towards Yonghegong Street)

On foot: After exiting, walk west along Yonghegong Street for about 5–8 minutes, enter Guozijian Street, and go straight to the main entrance.

By Bus (Direct to the Gate):

Direct stop: Guozijian Station

Lines: Bus No. 13, 84

Get off and arrive at the entrance of Guozijian Street; walk 1 minute to the main entrance.

Alternative stops: Yonghegong Station / Andingmennei Station

Lines: Bus No. 115, 117, 104, 108, 113, 124, 141, etc.

Walk 5–10 minutes to Guozijian Street after getting off.

Please show your Confucius Temple ticket QR code to enter the scenic area.

By Taxi:

Please tell the taxi driver to take you to the South Gate of Confucius Temple and Imperial College Museum (孔庙国子监南门). You may enter directly from the main entrance.

Tickets can be booked 0–3 days in advance via the official WeChat account. Reservation is not mandatory, but booking early is recommended for weekends, holidays and peak seasons (April–October) to secure your visit.

Can I buy a ticket on the spot upon arrival?

On-site ticket purchase is available. You may buy tickets at the on-site ticket windows or scan the on-site QR code to purchase. Tickets are generally easy to get for most dates.

Is there any place in Confucius Temple to deposit  luggage?

There is no official large luggage storage inside the scenic area. Suggestion: Store your luggage at your hotel or in lockers at nearby subway stations (Yonghegong Station).
