Beijing: Explore city highlights (L)
Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)
After hotel pick-up, follow your tour guide to explore one of the world’s largest public areas, Tian’anmen Square. Use travel agency’s fast security check pass to enter the square, admire many important buildings such as the National Museum of China, the mausoleum of Mao Zedong, the great Monument to the Peoples’ Heroes, the Great Hall of the People, the Tian’anmen Gate and more.
Forbidden City-The Palace Museum
Pass through the Tian’anmen Tower and South gate to the magnificent Forbidden City – a 250-acre complex of courtyards, palaces, pavilions and gardens, which served as the imperial palace for emperors and their households for more than 500 years. The Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987. Stroll around the courtyards and halls of the Forbidden City. Gain deep insight into the history and culture of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Lama Temple (Yonghegong)
After lunch in the local restaurant, continue to the Lama Temple, one of the largest and most important Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the world. For evening, you can enjoy an amazing Chinese show, you can chose Chinese Acrobatic show/Kungfu Show or Peking opera at your own cost.
Day 2
Beijing: Great Wall Adventure (L)
Mutianyu Great Wall
You driver and tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and take you to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. It’s is a bit more rugged and slightly less crowded than more famous Badaling section of the Wall. Over 96% of Mutianyu is covered with trees and orchards. Unlike the tourist-packed Badaling Wall, which is closer to the city, Mutianyu remains less explored, so you have time to leisurely wander the iconic monument without the crowds. You can even climb ancient watchtowers for views of the surrounding countryside.
Bell and Drum Towers
Next, stroll around the local Hutong area near the Drum and Bell Towers, get to know the life in Hutong. The day will be over with Chinese acrobatic show (optional). Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
Day 3
Beijing: Temple and Garden (L)
Temple of Heaven
Today’s adventure start from the Temple of Heaven visited by the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven. The Temple of Heaven is one of several worship sites in the capital where the emperors offered sacrifices. It was constructed between 1406 and 1420 during the reign of Ming Emperor YongLe, who also oversaw the creation of the Forbidden City during the same period. Follow your tour guide to visit the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest, the Circular Mound Altar, the Imperial Vault of Heaven, the Nine Dragon Juniper, and more.
Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)
Enjoy a delicious duck lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to the Summer Palace, a well-preserved royal garden that’s renowned for its beautiful landscape and spectacular architecture, and is considered one of the most classical gardens in the world. Then finish your tour with drop-off at your hotel.
Day 4
Beijing-Datong: Explore the Grottoes and City Highlights(L)
Beijing Railway Station
Our driver in Beijing will pick you up from the lobby of your hotel, you will be transferred to Railway station for a 2 hour bullet train trip to Datong. (Please note you are on your own on the train)
Yungang Grottoes
Your local guide in Datong will meet you at the exit of the train station. Then hop on your private vehicle and heading directly to Yungang Grottoes which will take 30 minutes. Your tour guide will explain the related histories and stories along the way, feel free to ask questions if you have. Upon arrival, follow your tour guide to admire outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave art in China during the 5th and 6th centuries architecture at Yungang Grottoes.
Shanhua Temple Five-Dragon Screen
Move on to Shanhua Temple which has the best-preserved extant layout of the Liao (907 – 1125) and Jin (1115 – 1234) Dynasties in China. Explore the famous Nine Dragon Screen, which is the oldest and largest glazed screen in China. Built during the Ming Dynasty (1271-1368), this marvelous wall is 45.5 meters long, 8 meters high and 22 meters thick. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Datong.
Day 5
Datong-Pingyao: Hanging Temple and Ancient town(L)
Hengshan Hanging Temple (Xuankong si)
Check out and bring luggage with. After meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel, heading directly to Hengshan Hanging Temple which will take 1.5 hours. The hanging temple is the only existed temple hosting worship for the Taoists, Confucians and Buddhists. Built in 491 A.D, Hanging Temple is an architectural wonder because it hangs on the west cliff of Jinxia Gorge more than 50 meters above the ground. Follow your tour guide to experience the 1400 years architectural wonder, get to learn the history of three major religions in China and how these believes been used into the architecture. After the tour, you will be transferred to Datong railway station for a 3 hour train trip to Pingyao.
Pingyao County
Once arrive Pingyao, our driver will hold a sign with your name on, then you will be transferred to your hotel in Pingyao.
Day 6
Pingyao: City highlights (L)
Pingyao Old Town Jixiang Temple
Today you will have a free day in Pingyao Old Town to explore. You can walking along the ancient Ming-Qing Street, experience the Old Town’s history, culture, and architecture . You can also explore the Ancient Ming-Qing Street and the nearly 200-year-old Rishengchang Exchange Museum.
Day 7
Pingyao-Xi’an (L)
Wang’s Family Compound (Wang Jia Dayuan)
After breakfast in your hotel, heading to Wang’s Family Compound. Built by Wang’s family in Jinsheng, Shanxi during the Ming and Qing Dynasties for more than 300 years with over 250,000 square meters, Wang’s family compound is one of the biggest and best-preserved ancient residential complexes in the traditional architectural style of northern Chinese. Stroll around the courtyards and halls, listen to the stories from your tour guide while walking.
Shuanglin Temple
As a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, Shuanglin Temple is one of the important national Buddhist temples. The temple is noted not only for its venerable age but for the more than 2,000 painted statues that decorate its halls. This vast collection, made by moulding clay over wooden frames, has earned the temple the nickname “The Museum of Coloured Sculptures”. They are not purely works of religious art, but instead are imbued with human features and attributes to symbolise the unification of the spiritual and the physical, or rather the connection between deities and human beings.
Xi’an
Afterwards, you will be transferred to railway station, enjoy a 3 hour bullet train ride on your own to Xi’an. Once arrived, our driver will hold your name sign waiting at the exit of the arrival hall, you will be transferred to your hotel in Xi’an.
Day 8
Xi’an: Admire one of the seven wonders in the world
Terracotta Warriors Museum
Your tour guide will pick you up from your Xi’an hotel’s lobby, heading directly to the world-famous Terracotta warriors museum which known as “the Eighth Wonders of the World”. The museum divided into three sections: No.1 Pit, No.2 Pit, and No. 3 Pit. The original site was found by four local farmers while drilling a well in 1974 and now it has turned into the most important attraction in Xi’an. Stroll around the museum and get rich information from your tour guide.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta)
After lunch in the local restaurant, you will explore one of China’s best examples of a Tang-style pagoda (squarish rather than round), it was completed in AD 652 to house Buddhist sutras brought back from India by the monk Xuan Zang. His travels inspired one of the best-known works of Chinese literature, Journey to the West. Follow your tour guide to explore the pagoda, gain deep insight into the history behind.
Muslim market
Move on to the Muslim street, taste local snacks and shop for your China souvenir. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Xi’an
Day 9
Xi’an-Chengdu: City Explore (L)
Wenshu Yuan Monastery
In the morning, you will be transferred to Xi’an railway station by our driver, then enjoy a 4 hour bullet train ride to Chengdu. Your local tour guide will hold a sigh with your name on waiting at the exit of the arrival hall. Heading directly to Wenshu Temple which is a fairly typical large Buddhist monastery can dates back to the Tang dynasty and is named after a monk who lived there in the late 17th century. There are five central buildings containing various cultural relics which are surrounded by extensive well-maintained gardens. Contained within the monastery are reputedly over 400 statues made of stone, iron, bronze, clay and wood, in various shapes and sizes.
Jinli Pedestrian Street
After lunch in the local restaurant, explore the Jinli Old Street which is one of the oldest shopping streets in Sichuan Province, and it can be traced back to the Three Kingdoms Period, over 1,800 years ago. The street showcases the culture of Shuhan (one of the Three Kingdoms from 221 to 263). Most of the architecture here is of the style of the residences in western Sichuan Province. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Chengdu.
Day 10
Chengdu: highlights of the City
Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo)
Meet your tour guide in the lobby of your hotel. Hop on your private air-conditioned vehicle to Leshan Giant Buddha(approx.2.5 hours), relax on the way and enjoy beautiful countryside view. As the UNESCO Sites, construction of the Leshan Buddha, begun in the year 713 in the Tang Dynasty, and finished in the year 803, the statue took people more than 90 years to carve. During these years, thousands of workers had expended their efforts and wisdom on the project. As the biggest carved stone Buddha in the world, the Giant Buddha is featured in poetry, song and story. Follow your tour guide to explore the whole area, you will view Buddha from different view.
Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi)
After lunch in the local restaurant, heading to Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. Upon arrival, spend some leisure time to see the Giant pandas including new born babies, teenagers and adult pandas. Learn about the different stages of panda’s life from infancy to adulthood. Visit the research laboratory, the museum, the panda playground, the animal hospital, and the facility’s beautiful lake. You can take photos these enchanting and endangered creatures as they relax in their natural environment. After your tour ends, you will be transferred to your hotel in Chengdu.
Day 11
Chengdu-Changsha-Zhangjiajie (L)
Changsha
Check out in the morning, our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Chengdu, then you will be transferred to Chengdu airport, relax on the 2 hour flight to Changsha. Upon arrival, our driver will pick you up and you will be transferred to the railway station. Enjoy a relax bullet train trip to Zhangjiajie, upon arrival, our driver will take you to your hotel in zhangjiajie. (In peak season there is a direct flight to Zhangjiajie from Chengdu, you will take the direct flight instead to travel around)
Day 12
Zhangjiajie
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
Meet our tour guide in the lobby of your hotel, then start today’s adventure. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is located in Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Tianzi Mountain and Yuanjiajie are the most classic and popular sites in Zhangjiajie. To save your time and energy, we will arrange the cable car (or elevator) to take you up and down the mountain. Take the cable car up Tianzi Mountain, and look through the glass cable car to see large areas of grotesque sandstone peaks thrusting up. Walking along the steps spectacular views unfold in front of you from different angles.
Tianzi Mountain
Enjoy a simple lunch in a local restaurant or McDonald’s near Tianzi mountain. Relax on a 30 minutes shuttle bus ride to Tianzi mountain, this afternoon you will explore the famous Avatar Hallelujah Mountain. It is one of the park’s 3,000 vertical quartz-sandstone pillars, and it stretched 1,080 meters into the air. Previously, it was known as the Southern Sky Column. It was renamed to its present name in January 2010 for having served as inspiration for the “Hallelujah Mountains” in the film Avatar. Next, you will take the Bailong Elevator to get down the mountain. Tour ends with hotel drop off.
Day 13
Zhangjiajie Grand C
he Grand Canyon of Zhangjiajie
Today, you will explore the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, where you will experience the plunging waterfalls, the dense trees, the fresh air, and the mist on the stream make you feel like you are in an otherworldly sort of place. A spring meanders in the canyon, along which are trails built with planks. On the way, you can see the longest and highest glass bridge in the world as well as the karst landform in the north temperate zone. Walking along this glass bridge 300 meters above ground-level will be one of the coolest experiences of your tour! If you prefer not to walk on the bridge, we’ll take another route to visit the area.o/n in Zhangjiajie.
Day 14
Zhangjiajie-Shanghai (L)
Baofeng Lake
In the morning, meet your your tour guide and hop into a private vehicle heading to Baofeng Lake, which located in a basin in the middle of Zhangjiajie’s mountainous area. After a 15 minute shuttle bus ride, relax on a 30-minute ride in a wooden boat. It is a leisurely experience as you cruise on the clear water, view hills of various shapes, and enjoy the entertainment of local minority people singing their traditional songs.
Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park
Move on to the Tianmen Mountain, which is regarded as the ‘soul’ of Zhangjiajie, its highest mountain. Experience the famous Tianmen Mountain Cableway, which is claimed in tourist publications as the “longest passenger cableway of high mountains in the world”, with 98 cars and a total length of 7,455 metres (24,459 ft) and ascent of 1,279 metres (4,196 ft) The highest gradient is an unusual 37 degrees. Look out of the window, you will see the see the famous ’99 Bends’ mountain road. After the tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Shanghai, our driver in Shanghai will take you to your hotel.
Day 15
Shanghai: City highlights(L)
Yu Garden (Yuyuan)
Meet your tour guide in the lobby of your hotel, heading directly to Yuyuan Garden. Yuyuan Garden is the largest ancient gardens with Ming and Qing style architecture. Follow your tour guide to explore the garden, learn how to form a perfect garden. Then visit the Old City God Temple, where various of local snack shops and streets are scattered around.
Jade Buddha Temple
Move on to the Jade Buddha Temple. Till now, Jade Buddha Temple has a history of over 130 years. A Buddhist monk Huigen went on a pilgrimage visit to Mount Emei and holy Tibet, got to India and finally reached Burma to take five pieces of Jade Buddha and prepare to send back to Mount Wutai, one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains in China. On the way he passed Shanghai, he left two – one is the sitting Buddha and the other is the reclining Buddha and built a temple called Jade Buddha Temple. Later, it was destroyed in the war and rebuilt in 1918. This is how the temple was named. Stroll around the temple with your tour guide, you can also see how the locals pray here.
The Bund
Continue to the Bund, where you will see amazing city skyline, including the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center Shanghai Tower, Shanghai Tower and colonial buildings along the Huangpu River. Take a walk and stop for photos. After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel in Shanghai.
Day 16
Shanghai-Hangzhou City Highlights (L)
West Lake (Xi Hu)
Our driver will pick you up from the lobby of your hotel, you will be transferred to railway station for a 1 hour bullet train ride to Hangzhou. Upon arrival, meet your tour guide, start your Hangzhou adventure! Your first stop is the romantic West Lake, which is an iconic, symbolic sight in Hangzhou and is regarded as one of the most beautiful sights in China. Its beauty is the subject of many poems and paintings. Legends originating in West Lake add to it an aura of romance. If you want to take the boat just let your tour guide know (at your own cost).
Pagoda of Six Harmonies
Move on to The Six Harmonies Pagoda which is one of the true masterpieces of ancient Chinese architectures. Originally the pagoda was built during the Northern Song Dynasty. Learn more history of the pagoda from your tour guide and enjoy amazing view of the surrounding area . Afterwards, enjoy free shopping at the famous shopping street Hefang street, then you will be transferred to your hotel in Hangzhou.
Day 17
Hangzhou- Suzhou(L)
Humble Administrator’s Garden
Our driver will take you to railway station, take the bullet train on your own to Suzhou, upon arrival, meet local tour guide then heading directly to Humble Administrator’s Garden. With its elegant arrangement of tranquil koi ponds, jagged rockery, overhanging trees and scenic pavilions, the Humble Administrator’s Garden boasts a series of exquisite views that gradually spread out like the unrolling of a traditional scroll painting. Stroll around the garden with your tour guide, learn some common knowledgeable about the Chinese garden, and enjoy the peace of the garden.
Pingjiang Road
After that, you will be accompanied by your tour guide to take a hand-rowing boat along an old canal to Pingjiang Road. It is the best-preserved ancient block of Suzhou that still remains the appearance during the Tang (618 – 907) and Song (960 – 1279) dynasties. Now the road is brimmed with stores and restaurants selling Suzhou-style crafts and cuisines, free shopping at Pingjiang road. Then you will be transferred to your hotel in Suzhou

Suzhou-Shanghai (L)
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
Driver transfer you to Suzhou railway station, take 1 hour bullet train to Shanghai, then meet our location guide and hop on your private air-conditioned vehicle, heading directly to Zhujiajiao Ancient Town. (1 hour drive) Sit back and enjoy the scenery along the way. With a history of more than 1,700 years, Zhujiajiao Ancient Town is regarded as Shanghai’s Venice.
