    2 Days Tashkurgan Private Tour from Kashgar with Accommodation

    2-Day Karakoram Highway Tour: Kashgar to Tashkurgan

    Day 1: Kashgar → Karakul Lake → Tashkurgan (320km / ~6hrs Drive)

    Departure & Scenic Drive

    You’ll be picked up as arranged (see departure details). Around 9:00 AM, your guide will meet you in your hotel lobby, then set off with you on a drive along the Karakoram Highway—heading first to Karakul Lake, a stunning natural highlight of the Kashgar region.
    Along the highway, you’ll take in diverse scenery: Uyghur villages, Kyrghiz yurts, and the magnificent landscapes of the Pamir Plateau. As a key stop on the ancient Silk Road, Karakul Lake is a rare plateau lake worldwide—surrounded by glaciers and snow-capped mountains, including Kongur Mountain, Kongur Jiubie Peak, and Muztagh Ata. These peaks lend magical beauty to the lake; on calm days, you’ll see their silvery reflections alongside lush green grasslands—making the lake well worth a visit. In the late afternoon, continue driving to Tashkurgan.

    Day 2: Tashkurgan Stone Fortress → Return to Kashgar

    After breakfast, your guide will take you to visit the Tashkurgan Stone Fortress—one of the three most famous ancient stone cities in history. Surrounded by grasslands, snow-capped mountains, and rivers, this fortress was a strategically vital stronghold on the ancient Silk Road. Here, you’ll see remnants of temples, city walls, and official buildings dating back to the Tang and Qing dynasties.
    After exploring the fortress, you can wander the local pastures to experience the traditional lifestyle of the Tajik people and soak in Tashkurgan’s scenic beauty. Later, you’ll begin the drive back to Kashgar, where the tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.
