Day 1: Guiyang → Anshun → Guiyang

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in downtown Guiyang, and then you’ll embark on a 3-hour drive to the magnificent Huangguoshu Waterfalls. Nestled along the Baishui River section of the Taibang River Basin, the waterfalls form where the northward-flowing river encounters a massive longitudinal rift in the riverbed. The water cascades down in an almost semi-circular arc toward the west, flowing past the waterfalls before reaching the head of Screw Beach below Shuiwuachong, where it resumes its north-south course. At the end of the day, you’ll travel back to your hotel in Guiyang.

Day 2: Guiyang → Kaili

After breakfast, set off on a 3-hour drive to Qingman Miao Village, situated in the heart of the Changlinggang Mountain Range—a natural stronghold shaped by the surrounding terrain. The village is built on the mountainside, featuring tiered stilted wooden houses with trapezoidal tiled roofs and interlocking eaves, creating an orderly and spectacular sight.

Next, continue to Shiqiao Town in Danzhai County, located between Kaili City and Danzhai County. This town is the inheritance site of “Shiqiao Ancient Papermaking,” a national intangible cultural heritage, and is hailed as a “living museum of ancient papermaking.” Centered on the ancient papermaking cultural heritage, the scenic area integrates diverse tourism resources, including Miao customs, natural landscapes, rural scenery, and Cambrian paleontological fossils. After exploring, proceed to your hotel in Kaili for check-in.

Day 3: Miao Village Day Tour

In the morning, head to Jidao Miao Village, where three key highlights await exploration: first, wander along the century-old roads to admire the locals’ diligence; second, visit the hundred-year-old granaries to marvel at their wisdom; third, listen to age-old folk songs to immerse yourself in the region’s traditional culture. Subsequently, travel to Langde Miao Village, where you can stroll leisurely along the cobblestone streets and savor the laid-back rhythm of life here.

Continue south to Paika Miao Village, renowned for the exquisite attire of its women. Their gorgeous dresses are adorned with rich, artistic patterns and vivid totems such as dragons, phoenixes, flowers, birds, and cows—making them living representations of Miao totemic culture. The village’s women have preserved a complete set of ancient textile techniques, from cotton picking to sewing, with each step adhering to time-honored traditions passed down through generations. This craft is known as the “ceremonial folk textile art.” After your visit, return to your hotel in Kaili.
