Your adventure starts bright and early. We’ll pick you up from your Beijing hotel in a comfy, air-conditioned car.
Sit back and relax for the 2.5-hour scenic drive. Your professional guide will share fun facts about the Great Wall. They’ll also talk about related Chinese history and culture along the way.
Gaze out the window at rolling hills and countryside views. Let the excitement build as we head toward the wall.
Mid-Morning: Huangyaguan Great Wall Exploration
Once we arrive, your guide will lead the way to Huangyaguan Great Wall—originally constructed in the Northern Qi Dynasty (550–557) and repaired by General Qi Jiguang in the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644), this 42-kilometer section once had 52 watch towers and 14 beacon towers, with 3 kilometers and 20 towers restored between 1984–1986 before opening to the public in 1987.
Spend 2 hours wandering the wall’s winding paths. Climb up watch towers for sweeping mountain views. Listen to your guide’s fascinating stories about ancient soldiers and battles.

Afternoon: Visit Dule Temple (Temple of Solitary Joy)
After exploring the wall, we’ll head to Dule Temple for the next part of your day.
This temple is a World Heritage Site with over 1,000 years of history. It’s home to Asia’s oldest surviving timber structure. Follow your guide through its ancient halls and courtyards.
Don’t miss the 23-meter-high Guanyin Pavilion. It’s the tallest existing double-story building in China. Inside stands a 16-meter-tall colorful clay Guanyin sculpture, one of the country’s biggest.
Admire intricate murals on the temple walls. These murals depict important Buddhist icons and stories. The mix of colors and art will leave you feeling amazed. It’s also a great chance to learn more about Buddhism.
Evening: Return to Beijing & Tour Conclusion
After a day full of history and beauty, we’ll drive you back to your Beijing hotel.
