Board a high-speed bullet train for a 4.5-hour trip to Xi’an. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery outside as the train races to the ancient imperial capital.
Afternoon: Visit to The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses
Upon arriving in Xi’an, your professional tour guide will wait for you at the arrival hall exit. They will also hold a personalized name sign to welcome you. Head straight to the world-famous Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, known as “the Eighth Wonder of the World.”
Historical Note: Local farmers accidentally discovered this site while drilling a well in 1974. It houses life-sized terracotta warriors of Qin Shi Huang, China’s first emperor. Built over 2,200 years ago, they were meant to guard his mausoleum.
On the way to the museum, your guide will share interesting historical context and stories. This gives you a vivid preview of what’s to come. Feel free to ask questions—our guides are happy to elaborate on details that interest you.
The museum has three main pits. Each displays different formations and relics of the terracotta army. As you walk through the exhibition halls, your guide explains their craftsmanship, military layout, and historical significance. Immerse yourself in the glory of the Qin Dynasty.
Optional: Explore Xi’an Muslim Quarter
If time allows after the museum tour, your guide will take you to Xi’an’s iconic Muslim Quarter. It’s a lively neighborhood full of local culture, tasty snacks, and traditional architecture. Wander the busy lanes, savor authentic Shaanxi food, and experience the unique blend of Han and Hui cultures.
Evening: Return to Beijing
After the tour, you will be transferred to Xi’an Railway Station. Board the return bullet train to Beijing. Upon arrival in Beijing, your driver will pick you up. They will safely take you back to your hotel, concluding your memorable Xi’an day trip.
