• First, visit St. Sophia Orthodox Cathedral, built in 1907. Originally a Russian church, it was once the largest Orthodox church in the Far East.
• Next, head to Jiuzhan Park to watch the ice swimming show, organized by the Harbin Winter Swimming Association as part of the city’s winter ice and snow celebrations—a fascinating display of local culture.
• After the show, take the Harbin Ropeway across the beautiful Songhua River for panoramic views of the city and Russian Town.
• Continue to the Harbin Flood Control Memorial Tower, then stroll along the Songhua River bank to Sidalin Park, where you can observe local elderly residents’ daily life and view additional snow sculptures.
• Walk to Zhongyang Pedestrian Street—Asia’s longest and largest pedestrian street, founded in 1898 as “China Street” and renamed in 1925. You’ll have lunch here at your own expense.

• Visit Longta Tower (Dragon Tower), where you can ascend to the 289-meter observation deck for a bird’s-eye view of Harbin and enjoy other tower activities.
• Explore Laodaowai (Old Harbin Street), home to China’s largest preserved “Chinese Baroque” architectural complex. These century-old buildings feature Western exteriors with hidden traditional Chinese courtyards—a unique architectural blend distinctive to Harbin.
• Finally, visit the Harbin Ice Lantern Show at Zhaolin Park (typically opening in early January). Note that Zhaolin Park itself hosts the annual Ice Lantern Show—they are the same location.
