It’s packed with various shops selling shoes, clothes, fruits, toys, local food, jewelry, and more, adorned with Chinese-themed decor. Closed to vehicles, it provides a perfect leisurely walking experience. Boasting affordable prices, it’s a favorite shopping spot for locals and avoids the overcrowded, tourist-centric vibe.

    5. Yuexiu Park

    Wander through Yuexiu Park, a charming landscape park in Guangzhou’s old town, and discover its key sites. It was built by the prominent Chen Clan—members of Guangzhou’s most widespread and populous surname group. Having survived the turbulent Cultural Revolution (1960s–1970s), the hall was later restored and transformed into Guangzhou’s most renowned Guangdong Folk Art Museum. Visitors will be profoundly captivated by its extensive collection of exquisite artworks spanning from ancient to modern times, including wood carvings, porcelain and pottery, brick carvings, iron castings, traditional Chinese paintings, calligraphy, and embroidery.

    7. Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King

    Explore the original 2,000-year-old tomb and mausoleum of the 2nd Nanyue King from the Western Han Dynasty. Unearthed in 1983, this historic site was converted into a public museum. Traverse narrow tunnels to enter the ancient, worn tomb, viewing its structure and remains, then head to the above-ground exhibition hall to see unearthed antiques like ancient armors, musical instruments, jades, and mummies.
