    Today, we’ll kick off our full-day Guilin adventure with a visit to Reed Flute Cave. It’s a mesmerizing underground palace with towering stalactites and stout stalagmites glowing in dreamy hues under colored lights, with ancient inscriptions adding timeless charm to this natural marvel.
    Next, we’ll hop in the car and head to Xianggong Hill. A short, breezy climb to the summit rewards you with a postcard-perfect bird’s-eye view. The Li River winds gently through a sea of jagged karst peaks, like a scene from a classical Chinese painting.
    After soaking in the views, we’ll head to Yangshuo for a delicious local lunch. Our next stop is Fuli Ancient Town. You can wander lanes lined with well-preserved Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture. You can also watch local artisans craft delicate traditional paper cuttings.
    Then, we’ll board bamboo rafts at Fuli Pier. It’s a quiet spot free from crowds and noisy tour boats. We’ll drift slowly along the Li River. On sunny days, the calm water turns into a flawless mirror, reflecting sky and mountains above. You’ll savor a peaceful, idyllic rafting experience amid Guilin’s iconic shanshui scenery.

    Skip Reed Flute Cave on this route. We’ll start with a 2-hour exploration of Zhuangyuan Bridge and Mirror-like Rice Paddies. The rest of the itinerary stays exactly the same as Route 1. If you crave rural Guilin charm, this is your pick. Just check the photos at the end to see its magic!
    Zhuangyuan Bridge tucks away in Tianxin Village. It’s surrounded by rolling mountains, gurgling rivers and lush rice fields. Its name means “Champion Bridge” literally. This historic stone bridge is an internet-famous spot. It draws photography lovers far and wide to capture its stunning sunrise and soft morning glow, with its stone arch holding silent stories of the village’s centuries-old past.
    The Mirror-like Rice Paddies are embraced by mountains on all sides. Crisscrossing country paths and water-filled fields act like giant mirrors. They reflect the blue sky, green mountains and leafy trees above. Paired with the village’s cozy gray-tiled farmhouses, they form a vast open-air landscape park. It’s the ideal spot to admire and snap Guilin’s iconic mountain-water and rural scenery.
