Your private driver will meet you at your Kunming hotel lobby and transfer you to Kunming Nanyao Railway Station. Catch a 2-hour bullet train to Dali, where a local guide holding a personalized name sign will wait for you at the arrival exit.
Visit Chongsheng Three Pagodas
Head straight to Dali’s iconic Chongsheng Three Pagodas. This 1,800-year-old national treasure stands at the east foot of Cangshan Mountain’s 10th peak, facing Erhai Lake’s west shore. Stroll through the temple courtyards with your guide, admire the thousand-year-old pagodas, and learn about the site’s history, culture, religion and art.
Leisure Stroll & Local Lunch in Dali Ancient Town
Continue to Dali Ancient Town, a key Southwest Silk Road gateway that once served as Yunnan’s political and military hub. Wander the town to admire grand city walls and traditional Bai ethnic folk houses, then enjoy a local-style lunch at a town restaurant.
Cruise on Erhai Lake

Trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain
Meet your guide at your Lijiang hotel lobby for a 1-hour drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. This 13-peak range is the Northern Hemisphere’s southernmost glacier, named for its dragon-like silhouette amid clouds when viewed from Lijiang Old Town. Take a cable car to the 4,506-meter viewing platform to marvel at glacier and mountain scenery. You can also hike up to 4,680 meters via wooden stairs before taking the cable car back down.
Local Lunch & Impression Lijiang Show
Enjoy a delicious local lunch, then watch the amazing Impression Lijiang open-air show. Staged in daytime with Jade Dragon Snow Mountain as the natural backdrop, the show features over 100 horses and 500 non-professional peasant actors from 16 villages and 10+ ethnic groups. Tour Mufu Palace
Visit Mufu Palace, former residence of the Naxi Mu clan who ruled Lijiang for 470 years (Yuan to Qing Dynasty, 22 generations). The palace blends Ming Dynasty central Chinese architecture with Tang and Song Dynasty elements, plus Bai and Naxi ethnic details. It is also a remarkable “plant museum” with ancient trees and rare flora, and its garden combines imperial grandeur with Suzhou garden delicacy. Explore with your guide to learn its fascinating history and stories.
Tour Conclusion & Flexible Departure
After the Mufu Palace tour, your journey ends. You can either finish your tour in Lijiang or take a bullet train back to Kunming.
