    At 9:00 a.m., your tour guide will greet you in the lobby of your hotel. Subsequently, you will travel by car to Kumbum Monastery—located 16 miles (25 kilometers) away from Xining. As one of the six major Tibetan monasteries, Kumbum holds significant religious importance: Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Yellow Hat Sect, was born and raised here prior to his journey to Lhasa. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to explore structures such as the Stupas and the Teaching Hall. Notably, the monastery’s remarkable Butter Sculpture Exhibition is sure to leave a deep impression on you.
