How to get to Yuyuan Garden

Yuyuan Garden has two main entrances: North Gate and South Gate.

By subway(Fastest and Most Stable):

Line: Take Line 10 / Line 14 to Yuyuan Station.

Exit: Gate 1 (near North Gate), Gate 7 (near Gate 2).

Walking: 3–5 minutes’ walk from the station to the entrance.

By Bus (Budget & Slow Travel):

Main Routes: Bus No. 11, 26, 64, 736, 926, 932 to Yuyuan Garden

Stops to Alight：Xinbeimen/City God Temple/Yuyuan Garden Station

How to buy tickets to the Yuyuan Garden Beijing?

1.Highly recommended to use a reputable ticket agency for booking—this saves time and avoids on-site hassles.

2.Yuyuan Garden implements real-name reservation and ticketing. The official “Shanghai Yuyuan” WeChat Mini Program is the primary channel; authorized online travel platforms (OTAs) are also available.

3.Tickets can also be purchased at on-site ticket windows at the North and South Gates, subject to availability.

4.Valid ID required: Passports are accepted for foreign visitors. Please carry the original ID used for booking for verification upon entry.

Do I need to book a ticket to Yuyuan Garden in advance?

All visitors, including those eligible for free admission, must complete real-name reservation in advance.

1.Regular days: Reservations are recommended 1–7 days prior.

2.Weekends, national holidays, and peak seasons (April–June, September–November): Book 3–7 days in advance to avoid sell-outs.

3.Special events (e.g., Yuyuan Lantern Festival): Time-slotted tickets are mandatory, and early booking is strongly advised as tickets are limited.

Note: Yuyuan Garden is closed every Monday (except national legal holidays).

Can I buy a ticket on the spot upon arrival?

On-site ticket purchase is not guaranteed and not recommended during peak periods.

1.While on-site windows are available, tickets are often limited or sold out on weekends, holidays, and during special events.

2.For a smooth visit, book online in advance via the official Mini Program or authorized OTAs. Same-day booking may be possible on non-peak days but is not guaranteed.

Is there any place in Yuyuan Garden to deposit luggage?

Yuyuan Garden does not offer official luggage storage inside the garden due to space constraints.

Suggestions:

1.Subway lockers: Use self-service lockers at Line 10/14 Yuyuan Garden Metro Station (near Exit 5 for Line 10, Exits 5–7 for Line 14). Operating hours align with metro service (approx. 05:30–22:40).

2.Nearby self-service lockers: Found at Gate 7 of Yuyuan Tourist Mart (operated by a third party).

3.Hotel storage: Store luggage at your hotel before departure.

4.Third-party services: Authorized luggage storage platforms are available near the metro station for extended storage needs.
