Depart your hotel at 9am
Your exploration begins with a visit to the new National Museum which along the east side of the Tian’anmen Square.Reopened March 2011 after three years of expansion and renovation, the National Museum of China now houses an enormous collection of cultural and historical relics.
The building was completed in 1959 as one of the Ten Great Buildings celebrating the ten-year anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It complements the opposing Great Hall of the People that was built at the same time. The structure sits on 65,000 ㎡ and has a frontal length of 313 meters, a height of four stories totaling 40 meters, and a width of 149 meters.The front displays eleven square pillars at its center.
Then exploring the famous shopping street–Qianmen Steet and nearby street.It is a symbol of genuine local culture. It has many of China’s time-honored names.Qianmen Street has history of more than 570 years. It was called Zhengyangmen Street during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and finally named Qianmen Street in 1965.
Stop at a Local Restaurant for lunch
Contunue to walk throught the narrow Hutongs to Liulichang Culture Antique Street.Liulichang bear the appearance of a Qing Dynasty market street, is known throughout China and the world for its ancient books, calligraphy, paintings, rubbings, ink stones and ink,
