We did two tours with Discover Beijing. First we hired a driver to take us to the Great Wall and second a Beijing food tour.

We hired a driver for a trip to the Great Wall and he was very lovely. His English is great, he was on time and helped us purchase our tickets on the site. He also explained a few things during our ride there. Couldn’t ask for more.

Regarding the food tour- my first bit of advice is that you should do this on an empty stomach, because you are going to stuff your face with so much delicious food!
Secondly, our lovely tour guide is incredibly knowledgeable. Not only did she explain why certain foods are eaten but she also explained the history of the Hutongs and answered our many questions. Her English is great and she is very easy to get along with.

I would definitely recommend this tour to any tourist as you will be taken to authentic restaurants and street shops where the food is safe and much cheaper than other places around Beijing!
