Discover Beijing’s food tour is different to other Beijing food tours in that Qing the tour guide’s parents live in a Beijing hutong and so one of the stops is at their home where Qing’s mum will make you home made pork with noodles. What a perfect way to combine a food tour with some history and insight into the life of ordinary people in Beijing. Qing was one of the most talkative tour guides I have met and entertained us with plenty of interesting information. We tried many different dishes and whenever we didn’t like or finish any of them Qing happily took them home so none of the food was wasted.
